The AnTech team are back in the UK after a successful stint exhibiting at the 23rd edition of the SPE/ICoTA Well Intervention Conference and Exhibition which was held on the 19th-20th March at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Convention Center in The Woodlands, Texas, USA.
The 2024 event delivered a rich technical program looking at the latest industry trends, innovations and technologies, as well as featuring enriching technical knowledge, new methodologies, techniques and methods, topical debates and thought-provoking guest speakers.
Global Operations Manager, Adam Miszewski, took to the stand with Northern Solutions to present a paper around slim hole thru-tubing exit on coiled tubing, which is a case study discussing the state-of-the-art in-casing exits for a Coiled Tubing Drilling project in the Middle East.
AnTech offers some of the most advanced technology you can put on the end of coiled tubing. This includes: LWD for geosteering continuously rotating orienter (drill build and lateral in one run, adjusting the build rate on the fly, removing tortuously and wellbores and the ability to drill further). AnTech also provides gyro steered casing exists (accurate kick-off from vertical) and near-bit MWD sensors (accurate wellbores and reducing over shooting targets).
AnTech’s comprehensive services includes: in-house wellbore modelling, pre-job engineering, AnTech Integrated Management (AIM), directional drilling, economic analysis to review payback and AFE planning.
Adam Miszewski, Global Operations Manager, AnTech Ltd., said: “As always, it was a pleasure to able to attend and present at the SPE/ICoTA Well Intervention Conference and Exhibition and to share our knowledge and technical expertise. The exhibition is a unique, insightful event that allows attendees to discuss industry challenges, address technical issues and explore solutions with likeminded companies and we would like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand.
“As we move towards net zero, Directional Coiled Tubing Drilling services will be a part of the conversation. By 2050 oil and gas will remain part of the energy mix, but at 20 per cent of current levels. Focus will turn towards extracting more from existing fields. Low pressure reservoirs are easily damaged, but by drilling underbalanced this can reduce damage and maximise production. Accurate drilling can increase reservoir contact with closed loop systems addressing environmental and safety concerns.
“Drilling activity will continue but with a different focus. Our specialist CTD technology can be used to address this by using geothermal with high temperature electronics, providing underground storage for CO2 and H2 and mining for critical minerals,” concluded Miszewski.
